Renovation and Repair works

Put your hard hats on! We’re having some renovation and repair works done at the museum the next few days. We are still open, but if you do come down, we hope you’ll bear with us during this period.

Covid-19 Guidelines

Phase 2 Heightened alert (Updated 22nd Nov 2021)

Dear supporters, during this time, the museum remains open, but group entries will be limited to 5 pax per group, and only fully vaccinated visitors will be allowed entry (Children under 12 years old need not be vaccinated).

We welcome you to enter into a rare world of turtles and tortoises.

Sense the mystery of the river turtle, the awesome power of the Alligator turtle and the beauty of the Radiated tortoise.

See and feel the spirit of the Sulcata Tortoise for luck, and the Malaysian Giant River Turtle for wishes. Be fascinated by the majestic Pig Nose Flying Turtle and the Six Legged Tortoise. Listen to the lonely noise of the Indian Star Tortoise and marvel at the strange looking Soft Shell Turtle from India.

Rehome Your Pet. Owning a pet is a lifelong commitment.

AVA takes a stern view on pet abandonment, and will take enforcement action, where necessary. Individuals who abandon their pets or fail in their duty of care toward their pets, are liable to a maximum fine of $10,000 and/or a maximum jail term of 12 months for first convictions.
